About the role

Ensures Quality Systems compliance and drives improvements by providing guidance on corrective and preventative actions. Responsibilities include auditing food safety and quality systems, issuing nonconformances, notifying leaders of gaps, monitoring action statuses, and assessing effectiveness. Supports compliance and regulatory objectives through audits, process improvements, SOPs, and Annual Product Reviews. Verifies documentation to ensure products meet safety, quality, and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Record and recommend improvements for sensitive information, auditing food safety, quality systems, and manufacturing practices.
  • Issue nonconformances for gaps in quality programs and notify leaders and associates.
  • Monitor status of actions and closure, assessing corrective and/or preventative action effectiveness.
  • Participate in customer/regulatory audits, presenting programs and records to identify process improvements.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and prepare Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Create Annual Product Reviews for management decision-making.
  • Verify documentation requirements to ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
  • Lead and participate in teams, coordinating work assignments and providing feedback to meet timelines and quality goals.
  • Develop, communicate, and implement processes to meet business needs through collaboration and analysis.
  • Demonstrate, promote, and support compliance with company policies, procedures, and ethical standards.
  • Foster a culture of respect, inclusion, and belonging, supporting associate development and recognition.
  • Act with integrity, humility, and transparency, aligning with Walmart’s values and regenerative goals.
  • Deliver results while prioritizing customer needs and balancing short- and long-term priorities.
  • Drive continuous improvement, embrace new technologies, and support others through change.

Requirements

  • 2 years’ quality assurance and/or quality control experience in a related environment (e.g., dairy plant, food processing, manufacturing).
  • 2 years’ clerical experience using computer applications (e.g., email, Microsoft Office, spreadsheets, PowerPoint, Visio).

Pay

The hourly wage range for this position is $23.30 - $25.30. The actual rate will meet or exceed the minimum wage for the job location. Additional premiums may apply (ranging from $0.35 to $3.00 per hour) based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed.
