(USA) Production Supervisor, Manufacturing
Position Summary
Promotes a safe work environment by ensuring associates utilize proper safety equipment
Maintains work areas for example floor free of debris equipment operational and clean hazards removed
Requests materials supplies parts and repair services
Manages the daily operation of the production area by planning and establishing work schedules and assignments
Monitors and evaluates operations programs processes and practices for quality and effectiveness
Inspects materials products and equipment for defects or malfunctions
Affords assistance in production sequence planning in order to meet production goals and provide superior customer service
Safeguards the timely resolution of associate performance concerns
Completes and analyzes departmental reports
Manages the continuous improvement Lean culture by documenting and implementing new and improved processes
Participates in new hire and ongoing associate training
Provides process improvement guidance related to waste control quality management and process effectiveness

Minimum Qualifications
- 2 years’ supervisory experience in a related environment (e.g., logistics / supply chain, dairy plant, food processing, manufacturing)
- 2 years’ experience in clerical-related responsibilities (e.g., filing, data entry) and computer applications (e.g., email, spreadsheets, Microsoft Office, PowerPoint, Visio)
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain, manufacturing, food science or related area
- Experience in packaging within a related environment (e.g., dairy production, food processing, and manufacturing)
- Supervisory experience in a dairy plant, food processing or manufacturing environment
