Position Summary

Processes member purchases by operating cash registers and managing pharmacy operations.

What you'll do...

• Processes member purchases by operating cash registers and related hardware.
• Maintains merchandise presentation by stocking and rotating merchandise.
• Maintains the Pharmacy area by handling claims and returns, utilizing equipment, and performing merchandising functions.
• Maintains the prescription fulfillment process by processing information for third-party insurance claims, rescanning images, and alerting patients to inventory issues.
• Promotes and maintains the Pharmacy's professional reputation by assisting the pharmacist in prescription fulfillment, processing insurance claims, and providing patient services.
• Enters prescription data into pharmacy software, reads prescriptions, and transcribes prescription information.
• Fills prescriptions by retrieving orders, counting, pouring, measuring, or weighing medications, and operating scanning equipment.
• Provides member assistance during prescription pickup by verifying and entering patient information, scanning security tags, and logging sales of restricted pharmaceutical items.
• Completes work assignments by following policies, data, and resources, and collaborating with managers, coworkers, customers, and other business partners.
• Complies with company policies, procedures, and standards of ethics and integrity by implementing related action plans and acting in a selfless manner.

Qualifications

• Meets all state requirements to work as a Pharmacy Technician, including minimum age, qualification, registration, certification, and/or licensure when required by the State Board of Pharmacy.
• Must obtain National Pharmacy Technician Certification (PTCB or NHA) within 9 months of job entry.

Pay and Schedule

The hourly wage range for this position is $18.00 to $26.00*. The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location. Additional compensation in the form of premiums may be paid in amounts ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances. Premiums may be based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if applicable criteria are met.
