Position Summary

Processes member purchases by operating cash registers and managing pharmacy operations.

What you'll do...

• Processes member purchases by operating cash registers and related hardware.
• Maintains merchandise presentation by stocking and rotating merchandise.
• Maintains the Pharmacy area by handling claims and returns, utilizing equipment for merchandising functions, and completing required paperwork.
• Maintains the prescription fulfillment process by processing information for third-party insurance claims, rescanning images, and alerting patients to inventory issues.
• Promotes and maintains the Pharmacy's professional reputation by assisting the pharmacist in prescription fulfillment, processing insurance claims, and providing patient assistance.
• Enters prescription data into pharmacy software, reads prescriptions, and transcribes prescription information.
• Fills prescriptions by retrieving orders, counting, pouring, measuring, or weighing medications, and operating scanning equipment.
• Verifies and enters patient information into the TaSCO system, retrieves prescriptions, and completes required documentation.
• Completes work assignments by following policies, data, and resources, collaborating with team members, and addressing improvement opportunities.
• Complies with company policies, procedures, and standards of ethics and integrity by implementing related action plans and acting in a selfless manner.
• Serves customers and members by delivering results, balancing short and long-term priorities, and considering the impact of work on team goals.

Minimum Qualifications

• Meets all state requirements to work as a Pharmacy Technician, such as minimum age, qualification, registration, certification, and/or licensure when required by the State Board of Pharmacy.
• Must obtain National Pharmacy Technician Certification issued by PTCB (PTCE) or NHA (ExCPT) within 9 months of job entry.
