Position Summary
Processes member purchases by operating cash registers and managing pharmacy operations.
What you'll do...
- Processes member purchases by operating cash registers and related hardware.
- Maintains merchandise presentation by stocking and rotating merchandise.
- Maintains the Pharmacy area by handling claims and returns, utilizing equipment for merchandising functions, and completing required paperwork.
- Maintains the prescription fulfillment process by processing information for third-party insurance claims, rescanning illegible images, and alerting patients to inventory issues.
- Provides patient/member service by assisting the pharmacist in the prescription fulfillment process, processing third-party insurance claims, and completing paperwork.
- Fills prescriptions by retrieving orders, counting, measuring, and labeling medications, and operating scanning equipment.
- Verifies and enters patient information into the TaSCO system, retrieves prescriptions, and completes sales transactions.
- Completes work assignments by following policies, data, and resources, and adapting to changes.
- Complies with company policies, procedures, and ethical standards by acting with integrity and supporting the Walmart values.
- Serves customers and members by delivering results, balancing short and long-term priorities, and considering the impact of work on team goals.
- Strives for excellence by displaying curiosity, taking calculated risks, and demonstrating courage and resilience.

Minimum Qualifications
- Meets all state requirements to work as a Pharmacy Technician, such as minimum age, qualification, registration, certification, and/or licensure when required by the State Board of Pharmacy.
- Must obtain National Pharmacy Technician Certification issued by PTCB (PTCE) or NHA (ExCPT) within 9 months of job entry.
