Position Summary

TourToTeach, a role within Walmart, involves leading and developing teams effectively by teaching, training, and actively listening to associates. This includes providing feedback, communicating with all levels of associates, and introducing and leading company change efforts.

What you'll do...

  • Teaches and trains teams, actively listens to associates, and provides feedback during tours of stores.
  • Collaborates with all levels of associates regarding store operations, utilizes technology, business initiatives, merchandising, and company direction.
  • Introduces and leads company change efforts, sets clear expectations, and guides associates in implementing business solutions.
  • Communicates business objectives to teams effectively, models and demonstrates exceptional customer service standards, and follows the One Best Way (OBW) service model.
  • Manages and supports customer service initiatives such as Store of the Community and community outreach programs, ensuring customer needs, complaints, and issues are successfully resolved.
  • Develops and implements action plans to correct deficiencies and improve the customer experience.
  • Drives the financial performance and sales of the designated store area by reviewing and evaluating Profit and Loss (PL) statements, managing and assisting in budgeting, forecasting, and controlling expenses.
  • Maintains effective merchandise presentation, seasonal transitions, inventory flow, and operational processes, and develops and implements action plans to mitigate shrinkage and ensure sales and profit goals are achieved.
  • Supervises and develops opportunities for hourly associates by hiring, training, mentoring, assigning duties, setting clear expectations, providing associate recognition, and promoting a belonging mindset in the workplace.
  • Recruits and develops qualified associates to meet staffing needs and achieve company growth potential, coordinates, completes, and oversees job-related activities and assignments, and supports key stakeholders.
  • Ensures compliance with company policies and procedures by implementing related action plans, utilizing the Open Door Policy, and providing direction and guidance on applying these in executing business processes and practices.
  • Respects individuals by building high-performing teams, embracing differences, and creating a workplace where associates feel seen, supported, and connected through a culture of belonging.

Pay

The annual salary range for this position is $65,000.00 - $100,000.00. Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include Regional Pay Zone (RPZ) (based on location) and Complex Structure (based on external factors that create challenges).

Minimum Qualifications

  • 2 years’ of college; OR 1 year’s retail experience and 1 year’s supervisory experience; OR 2 years’ general work experience and 1 year’s supervisory experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science in Business Management and Leadership through Live Better U and Bellevue University.
  • General work experience supervising 5 or more direct reports to include the responsibility of performance management, mentoring, hiring, and firing.
