Position Summary

TourToTeach, a role within Walmart, involves leading and developing teams effectively by teaching, training, and actively listening to associates. This includes providing feedback during store tours, communicating and collaborating with all levels of associates, utilizing technology, and implementing business solutions.

What you'll do...

  • Teaches and trains teams, actively listens to associates, and provides feedback during store tours.
  • Collaborates with all levels of associates regarding store operations, merchandising, and company direction.
  • Introduces and leads company change efforts, sets clear expectations, and guides team implementation of business solutions.
  • Communicates business objectives to teams effectively, models and demonstrates exceptional customer service standards, and follows the One Best Way (OBW) service model.
  • Manages and supports customer service initiatives such as Store of the Community and community outreach programs, ensuring customer needs, complaints, and issues are resolved.
  • Develops and implements action plans to correct deficiencies and improve the customer experience.
  • Drives the financial performance and sales of the designated store area by reviewing and evaluating Profit and Loss (PL) statements, managing budgets, forecasting, and controlling expenses.
  • Maintains effective merchandise presentation, seasonal transitions, inventory flow, and operational processes to ensure sales and profit goals are achieved.
  • Supervises and develops hourly associates by hiring, training, mentoring, assigning duties, setting clear expectations, providing associate recognition, and promoting a belonging mindset.
  • Ensures compliance with company policies and procedures, supports the Walmart mission, values, and standards of ethics and integrity, and acts with integrity.
  • Works collaboratively, builds strong and trusting relationships, communicates with impact, energy, and positivity, and motivates and influences others.
  • Respects individual differences, attracts and retains the best talent, empowers and develops talent, and recognizes others' contributions and accomplishments.
  • Acts in a selfless manner, is consistently humble, honest, fair, and transparent, and acts with integrity.

Pay

The annual salary range for this position is $65,000.00 - $100,000.00. Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include Regional Pay Zone (RPZ) and Complex Structure differentials.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 2 years’ of college; OR 1 year’s retail experience and 1 year’s supervisory experience; OR 2 years’ general work experience and 1 year’s supervisory experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science in Business Management and Leadership through Live Better U and Bellevue University.
  • General work experience supervising 5 or more direct reports to include the responsibility of performance management, mentoring, hiring, and firing.
