Position Summary

Initiates, directs, and participates in community outreach programs, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures, and driving the financial performance of the facility.

What you'll do...

  • Encourages and supports associates and managers in serving as good members of the community.
  • Establishes and maintains relationships with key individuals or groups in the community.
  • Represents the company to various external organizations and champions company-sponsored programs, events, and sustainability efforts.
  • Holds hourly associates accountable, analyzes and interprets reports, implements and monitors asset protection and safety controls, and maintains quality assurance standards.
  • Safeguards the workplace by overseeing safety and operational reviews, developing and implementing action plans to correct deficiencies, and providing direction and guidance on executing company programs and strategic initiatives.
  • Supervises and develops hourly associates in assigned areas by hiring, training, mentoring, assigning duties, evaluating performance, providing recognition, setting clear expectations, and communicating expectations consistently and effectively.
  • Promotes a belonging mindset in the workplace and provides feedback to ensure business goals are achieved.
  • Models and demonstrates exceptional customer service standards by following and demonstrating the One Best Way (OBW) service model, managing and supporting customer service initiatives, and resolving customer needs, complaints, and issues.
  • Assists the store manager in driving financial performance by ensuring sales and profit goals are met, reviewing and evaluating Profit & Loss (PL) statements, controlling expenses, and developing and implementing plans to correct deficiencies in financial performance.
  • Coordinates, completes, and oversees job-related activities and assignments by developing and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders, supporting plans and initiatives to meet customer and business needs, identifying and communicating goals and objectives, building accountability for and measuring progress in achieving results, identifying and addressing improvement opportunities, and demonstrating adaptability and promoting continuous learning.
  • Supervises and develops associates by hiring, training, mentoring, assigning duties, providing recognition, promoting a belonging mindset in the workplace, and acting with integrity.
  • Ensures compliance with company policies and procedures by implementing related action plans, utilizing and supporting the Open Door Policy, and providing direction and guidance on applying these in executing business processes and practices.
  • Respects individuals by building high-performing teams, embracing differences, creating a workplace where associates feel seen, supported, and connected through a culture of belonging, and providing opportunities for all associates to thrive and perform.
  • Acts with integrity by maintaining and promoting the highest standards of integrity, ethics, and compliance, modeling Walmart values, holding oneself and others accountable, and supporting the company's goal of becoming a regenerative company by making a positive impact for associates, customers, members, and the world around us.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 2 years' of college;
  • OR 1 year's retail experience and 1 year's supervisory experience;
  • OR 2 years' general work experience and 1 year's supervisory experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science in Business Management and Leadership through Live Better U and Bellevue University;
  • General work experience supervising 5 or more direct reports to include the responsibility of performance management, mentoring, hiring, and firing.

Additional Compensation

Annual salary range: $65,000.00 - $100,000.00
Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include: Regional Pay Zone (RPZ) (based on location), Complex Structure (based on external factors that create challenges), State Pay Differential (where applicable).

  • Live Better U is a Walmart-paid education benefit program for full-time and part-time associates in Walmart and Sam's Club facilities. Programs range from high school completion to bachelor's degrees, including English Language Learning and short-form certificates. Tuition, books, and fees are completely paid for by Walmart.
