About the Role

Drive and implement the business plan for your area of responsibility to achieve facility goals such as production, quality, and safety, while also identifying and implementing operational improvements. You will forecast staffing, workload, and performance results to meet business demands, prepare and analyze business reports, and ensure compliance with Logistics and company quality and safety standards.

Responsibilities

  • Communicate with individuals or groups (e.g., customers, suppliers, associates) verbally and/or in writing.
  • Monitor and ensure compliance with Logistics and company quality and safety standards, policies, and procedures by developing, distributing, and/or maintaining procedures and supporting documentation.
  • Identify and resolve associate, customer, and supplier concerns using judgment or consulting others when needed.
  • Supervise and manage associates and leaders by giving direction, monitoring performance, providing feedback, identifying training and development needs, and offering growth opportunities.
  • Participate in the hiring, promotion, coaching, teaching, and evaluation of associates, leaders, and managers.
  • Build high-performing teams by embracing differences in people, cultures, ideas, and experiences, fostering a culture of belonging, and creating opportunities for all associates to thrive.
  • Work collaboratively, build strong and trusting relationships, and communicate with impact, energy, and positivity to motivate and influence.
  • Maintain and promote the highest standards of integrity, ethics, and compliance, modeling Walmart’s values and supporting a regenerative company culture.
  • Deliver results while prioritizing the customer, adapting to their shopping preferences, and applying EDLP (Every Day Low Price) and EDLC (Every Day Low Cost) business models.
  • Make data-driven decisions, balancing short- and long-term priorities while considering stakeholders such as customers, associates, shareholders, and communities.
  • Drive continuous improvement, adopt new technologies, and support others through change.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in business or a related field (e.g., Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Financial Management, Production/Operations Management); and 1 year’s experience in an operations/distribution/logistics/retail environment supervising, evaluating, mentoring, and developing managers/supervisors, managing workload, and participating in hiring and promotion for multiple departments/areas.
  • OR 1 year’s experience as a Walmart Logistics Area Manager supervising, evaluating, mentoring, and developing associates; managing workload; and participating in hiring and promotion.
  • OR 3 years’ experience in an operations/distribution/logistics/retail environment supervising, evaluating, mentoring, and developing managers/supervisors; managing workload; and participating in hiring and promotion for multiple departments/areas.

Associates will be required to attend and successfully complete all job-required trainings and assessments (e.g., Academy trainings, Open Door trainings).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in financial modeling and analysis, managing challenging workforce issues, or modeling/forecasting.
  • Experience preparing and executing budgets or managing Profit and Loss (P&L) accountability.
  • Experience supervising associates in a Walmart Logistics environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Logistics, Management, or Operations Management.

PTO/PPTO amounts depend on job classification and length of employment and meet or exceed paid sick leave laws where applicable.

Pay

The annual salary range for this position is $84,000.00 - $126,000.00. Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Some positions may also include Regional Pay Zone (RPZ) adjustments (based on location) and stock.
