About the Role

Drive and implement the business plan for your area of responsibility to achieve facility goals such as production, quality, and safety while identifying and implementing operational improvements. Forecast staffing, workload, and performance results to meet business demands. Monitor and ensure compliance with Logistics and company quality and safety standards by developing, distributing, and maintaining procedures and supporting documentation.

Responsibilities

  • Communicate with individuals or groups verbally and/or in writing (e.g., customers, suppliers, associates).
  • Prepare, review, and analyze business reports to identify operational improvements (e.g., production, quality, safety).
  • Resolve associate, customer, and supplier concerns using independent judgment or by consulting others when needed.
  • Supervise and manage associates and leaders by giving direction, monitoring performance, providing feedback, identifying training and development needs, and offering growth opportunities.
  • Teach, support, and model Logistics and company policies and procedures while participating in hiring, promotion, coaching, teaching, and evaluation of associates and leaders.
  • Build high-performing teams by embracing differences in people, cultures, ideas, and experiences, fostering a culture of belonging, and creating opportunities for associates to thrive.
  • Work collaboratively, build trusting relationships, and communicate with impact, energy, and positivity to motivate and influence others.
  • Attract and retain talent, empower and develop associates, and recognize contributions and accomplishments.
  • Maintain and promote the highest standards of integrity, ethics, and compliance while modeling Walmart’s values and holding yourself and others accountable.
  • Support Walmart’s goal of becoming a regenerative company by making a positive impact for associates, customers, and communities through local giving and sustainability efforts.
  • Deliver results while prioritizing the customer, adapting to their shopping preferences, and applying EDLP (Every Day Low Price) and EDLC (Every Day Low Cost) business models.
  • Make data-driven decisions, balance short- and long-term priorities, and consider the impact on customers, associates, shareholders, suppliers, and communities.
  • Drive continuous improvement, adopt new technologies, support others through change, and encourage learning from mistakes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in business or a related field (e.g., Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Financial Management, Production/Operations Management) and 1 year’s experience in an operations/distribution/logistics/retail environment supervising, evaluating, mentoring, and developing managers/supervisors; managing workload; and participating in hiring and promotion for multiple departments/areas.
  • OR 1 year’s experience as a Walmart Logistics Area Manager supervising, evaluating, mentoring, and developing associates; managing workload; and participating in hiring and promotion.
  • OR 3 years’ experience in an operations/distribution/logistics/retail environment supervising, evaluating, mentoring, and developing managers/supervisors; managing workload; and participating in hiring and promotion for multiple departments/areas.

Associates will be required to attend and successfully complete all job-required trainings and assessments (e.g., Academy trainings, Open Door trainings).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in financial modeling and analysis, managing challenging workforce issues, or forecasting.
  • Experience preparing and executing budgets or managing Profit and Loss (P&L) accountability.
  • Experience supervising associates or as a Walmart Logistics Manager.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Logistics, Management, or Operations Management.

Pay

The annual salary range for this position is $84,000.00 - $126,000.00. Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Some positions may also include Regional Pay Zone (RPZ) adjustments (based on location) and stock.
