Lead and optimize a logistics facility area to meet production, quality, safety, and service goals while developing a high-performing team.
Responsibilities
- Communicate with individuals or groups (customers, suppliers, associates) verbally and in writing.
- Drive and implement the business plan for your area to achieve facility goals (production, quality, safety) and operational improvements.
- Forecast staffing, workload, and performance results to meet business demands.
- Prepare, review, and analyze business reports to identify operational improvements (e.g., production, quality, safety).
- Monitor and ensure compliance with Logistics and company quality and safety standards, policies, and procedures by developing, distributing, and maintaining supporting documentation.
- Resolve associate, customer, and supplier concerns using judgment or consulting others as needed.
- Supervise and manage associates and leaders by:
- Giving direction and monitoring performance.
- Providing feedback and identifying training/development needs.
- Offering learning and growth opportunities.
- Teaching, supporting, and modeling Logistics and company policies.
- Participating in hiring, promotion, coaching, teaching, and evaluation.
- Build high-performing teams by embracing differences in people, cultures, ideas, and experiences.

Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in business or a related field (e.g., Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Financial Management, Production/Operations Management) and 1 year’s experience in an operations/distribution/logistics/retail environment, supervising, evaluating, mentoring, and developing managers/supervisors; managing workload; and participating in hiring/promotion for multiple departments/areas.
- OR 1 year’s experience as a Walmart Logistics Area Manager supervising, evaluating, mentoring, and developing associates; managing workload; and participating in hiring/promotion.
- OR 3 years’ experience in an operations/distribution/logistics/retail environment, supervising, evaluating, mentoring, and developing managers/supervisors; managing workload; and participating in hiring/promotion for multiple departments/areas.
- Attend and successfully complete all job-required trainings and assessments (e.g., Academy trainings, Open Door trainings).
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in financial modeling, forecasting, or preparing/executing budgets.
- Experience managing challenging workforce issues or profit and loss (P&L) accountability.
- Experience supervising associates in a logistics or retail environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Logistics, Management, or Operations Management.

Pay
The annual salary range for this position is $84,000.00 - $126,000.00. Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. For certain positions, additional compensation may include Regional Pay Zone (RPZ) adjustments (based on location) and stock.
