(USA) Operations Manager - Floor

About the Role

Drive and implement the business plan for your area of responsibility to achieve facility goals such as production, quality, and safety, while also identifying and implementing operational improvements. Forecast staffing, workload, and performance results to meet business demands. Prepare, review, and analyze business reports to identify operational improvements in areas like production, quality, and safety. Monitor and ensure compliance with Logistics and company quality and safety standards, policies, and procedures by developing, distributing, and maintaining supporting documentation.

Responsibilities

• Resolve associate, customer, and supplier concerns using independent judgment or by consulting others as needed.
• Supervise and manage associates and leaders by providing direction, monitoring performance, offering feedback, identifying training and development needs, and fostering growth opportunities.
• Teach, support, and model Logistics and company policies and procedures, and participate in hiring, promotion, coaching, teaching, and evaluation of associates and leaders.
• Build high-performing teams by embracing differences in people, cultures, ideas, and experiences, and fostering a workplace culture of belonging.
• Work collaboratively, build trusting relationships, and communicate with impact, energy, and positivity to motivate and influence others.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in business or a related field (e.g., Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Financial Management, Production/Operations Management); and
• 1 year’s experience in an operations/distribution/logistics/retail environment, supervising, evaluating, mentoring, and developing managers/supervisors; managing workload; and participating in the hiring and promotion of employees for multiple departments/areas; OR
• 1 year’s experience as a Walmart Logistics Area Manager supervising, evaluating, mentoring, and developing associates; managing associate workload; and participating in the hiring and promotion of associates; OR
• 3 years’ experience in an operations/distribution/logistics/retail environment, supervising, evaluating, mentoring, and developing managers/supervisors; managing workload; and participating in the hiring and promotion of employees for multiple departments/areas.

Associates will be required to attend and successfully complete all job-required trainings and assessments (e.g., Academy trainings, Open Door trainings).

Pay

The annual salary range for this position is $84,000.00 - $126,000.00. Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. For certain positions, additional compensation may include Regional Pay Zone (RPZ) adjustments (based on location) and stock.
