About the role
Assists management with the supervision of associates in the assigned area of responsibility, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures while supporting the Open Door Policy.
Responsibilities
- Assign duties, communicate goals, and provide feedback to associates.
- Train associates on processes, procedures, and member service approaches.
- Ensure member complaints and issues are resolved according to company guidelines.
- Participate in recruiting, hiring, scheduling, promoting, coaching, and evaluating associates.
- Communicate and support membership by providing information on membership types, programs, and benefits.
- Process memberships, upgrades, and credit accounts; encourage renewals and participate in sales/marketing events.
- Complete and maintain marketing recaps and documentation to meet membership goals.
- Promote the value of Sam’s Club products and services.
- Acknowledge members, identify needs, and assist with purchasing decisions and transactions.
- Guide members on self-service technology and ensure club pickup orders are filled.
- Oversee assigned area by handling claims, returns, zoning, and merchandise arrangement.
- Identify shrink and damages, maintain cart/flatbed availability, and ensure parking lot cleanliness.
- Complete accounting records, financial reports, and daily deposits while maintaining confidentiality.
- Investigate overages, shortages, and accounting-related issues.
- Develop and implement processes to meet business needs through collaboration and analysis.
- Monitor progress, identify improvement opportunities, and support compliance with ethics and integrity standards.
- Lead and participate in teams, sharing resources and providing feedback to achieve work quality.
- Model adaptability to change and support associates through challenges.
- Embrace diversity, foster inclusion, and help associates thrive.
- Build trusting relationships, communicate positively, and recognize contributions.
- Mentor and develop others while upholding high integrity and ethical standards.

Requirements
- 6 months of retail experience, including operating front-end equipment (e.g., cash register).
- 6 months of customer service experience.
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience leading a front-end team.
- Supervisory experience, including hiring, evaluating, mentoring, and workload management.

Pay
The hourly wage range for this position is $23.00 to $31.00. The actual rate will meet or exceed the minimum wage for the job location. Additional premiums may apply based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed, ranging from $0.35 to $3.00 per hour.
