About the role

Provides member service, maintains the checkout area, and resolves member issues and concerns. Promotes Sam's Club products and services and provides guidance and support to members regarding self-service technology.

Responsibilities

  • Processes member purchases, including payments, returns, refunds, and exchanges according to company policies and procedures for different membership and payment types.
  • Follows company safety standards, procedures, and guidelines, including conducting safety sweeps.
  • Follows proper procedures for handling merchandise, corrects and reports unsafe situations to facility management.
  • Maintains entrance and exit areas, acknowledges members, verifies membership cards, and identifies member needs.
  • Assists members with purchasing decisions, locates merchandise, and resolves member issues and concerns.
  • Promotes the company's products and services, zones the area, and arranges and organizes merchandise.
  • Assists members with transporting items and maintains a safe shopping environment.
  • Reviews member receipts and secures and safeguards Sam's Club assets and property by observing and communicating potential criminal activity.
  • Maintains paperwork, logs, and other required documentation, and executes emergency response procedures.
  • Ensures compliance with company security and safety practices.
  • Assists with the training of Member Frontline Services associates on company processes and procedures, including teaching new technology and tool functionality.
  • Delivers new programs rollout training and provides continuous learning and process improvement opportunities.
  • Ensures area of responsibility is maintained in accordance with company policies and procedures by properly handling returns, identifying shrink and damages.
  • Complies with company policies, procedures, and standards of ethics and integrity.
  • Completes work assignments and priorities by collaborating with managers, co-workers, and other business partners.

Pay

The hourly wage range for this position is $17.00 to $25.00. The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location. Additional compensation in the form of premiums may be paid in amounts ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances. Premiums may be based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if applicable criteria are met.
