(USA) Member Specialist
About the role
Provides member service, maintains the checkout area, and resolves member issues and concerns. Promotes Sam's Club products and services and provides guidance and support to members regarding self-service technology.
Responsibilities
- Processes member purchases, including payments, returns, refunds, and exchanges according to company policies and procedures for different membership and payment types.
- Follows company safety standards, procedures, and guidelines, including conducting safety sweeps and reporting unsafe situations.
- Maintains entrance and exit areas, acknowledging members, verifying membership cards, and identifying member needs.
- Assists members with purchasing decisions, locating merchandise, and transporting items.
- Resolves member issues and concerns while promoting company products and services.
- Zones and organizes merchandise, ensuring a safe shopping environment.
- Secures and safeguards Sam's Club assets by observing and communicating potential criminal activity.
- Maintains paperwork, logs, and required documentation, and executes emergency response procedures.
- Ensures compliance with company security and safety practices.
- Trains Member Frontline Services associates on company processes, new technology, and tool functionality.
- Delivers training for new program rollouts and provides continuous learning and process improvement opportunities.
- Handles returns, identifies shrink and damages, and ensures the area of responsibility is maintained according to company policies.
- Complies with company policies, procedures, and standards of ethics and integrity.
- Completes work assignments and priorities by collaborating with managers, co-workers, and business partners.

Pay
The hourly wage range for this position is $17.00 to $25.00. The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location. Additional compensation in the form of premiums may be paid in amounts ranging from $0.35 to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances (e.g., based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed). Multiple premiums may apply if applicable criteria are met.
