(USA) Meat Lead
Drive sales in the Meat department and supervise hourly associates to deliver high-quality products at competitive prices. Collaborate with other team leaders to ensure the club meets member expectations while modeling expertise in meat products and operations.
Responsibilities
- Team Leadership:
- Supervise the meat department team to execute the business plan and company programs.
- Communicate department goals and advocate for members, associates, and the company.
- Collaborate with other team leaders to ensure the club meets member expectations.
- Expertise:
- Maintain in-depth knowledge of floor operations, product specifications, and regulatory standards.
- Ensure the meat department meets quality, safety, sanitation, and compliance standards.
- Train the team on item specifications and approved equipment for high-volume products.
- Engage with members to share product knowledge and assist in protein selection.
- Technology Utilization:
- Leverage digital tools to plan sales, improve the shopping experience, and elevate associate engagement.
- Use handheld technology for real-time decisions on production, training, and product quality.
- Adopt new tools and encourage team adoption.
- Operational Ownership:
- Drive business results through operational excellence, maintaining a clean and safe work area.
- Utilize digital tools for forecasting, planning, production, and inventory management.
- Ensure appropriate staffing levels and compliance with audit standards.
- Maintain meat and seafood equipment and storage systems.
- Produce and display merchandise according to the layout plan.

Requirements
- 6 months of experience in a meat production department or 6 months of experience supervising a team.
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Must successfully complete all job-required trainings and assessments within a prescribed time period if hired.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with meat processing, including boneless and bone-in products.
- Supervisory experience.
- Food Handler Certification (Food Safety).

Pay
The hourly wage range for this position is $23.00 to $31.00. The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location. Additional compensation in the form of premiums may be paid in amounts ranging from $0.35 to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances (e.g., based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed). Multiple premiums may apply if applicable criteria are met.
