About the role

You will complete work assignments and priorities by using policies, data, and resources, collaborating with managers, coworkers, customers, and other business partners. This includes identifying priorities, deadlines, and expectations; carrying out tasks; communicating progress and information; and determining ways to address improvement opportunities while adapting to change, difficulties, and feedback.

Responsibilities

  • Manage freight flow by moving and loading freight manually and with powered equipment (e.g., single and double pallet jack, lift pacer).
  • Identify, count, separate, combine, and scan freight using a warehouse management system, terminal scales, and scanners.
  • Maintain records, logs, and forms related to freight handling.
  • Comply with company policies, procedures, and standards of ethics and integrity using the Open Door Policy.
  • Keep the work area organized by stacking and moving empty pallets using a pallet jack and/or powered equipment.
  • Monitor freight to ensure cold chain and species compliance.
  • Uphold ethical standards and conduct in all operations.

Pay

The hourly wage range for this position is $23.00 - $28.80. The actual hourly rate will meet or exceed the minimum wage applicable to the job location. Additional compensation in the form of premiums may apply, ranging from $0.35 to $3.00 per hour, based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed.
