(USA) Lead Technician, Facility Services, Exterior Services - US

Lead a team of exterior service technicians to maintain Walmart’s exterior spaces, ensuring a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for customers. Partner with the team to deliver exceptional service and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Lead and train a team of exterior service technicians on processes, equipment usage, and safety practices to maintain an injury-free work environment
• Perform landscaping tasks such as cutting grass, weed management, planting, pruning, and pest/disease control through chemical applications
• Conduct commercial exterior maintenance including irrigation, pressure washing, and building/grounds upkeep
• Utilize technology (phones, tablets, laptops) for work order management and record-keeping
• Troubleshoot and prioritize work to meet customer service and operational needs
• Uphold company policies, procedures, and standards of ethics, integrity, and safety

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in commercial landscaping or exterior building maintenance
• Proven leadership skills and ability to facilitate on-the-job training
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid, state-issued driver’s license held for at least 3 years with a clean driving record and ability to pass a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) report
• Ability to read, speak, and complete documentation in English
• Ability to successfully complete a DOT physical and maintain a 90-day Medical Examiner’s Certification (MEC) card
• No convictions for DUI, DWI, OUI, or reckless driving involving alcohol or drugs within the last 3 years
• No more than 2 moving violations in the last 3 years (if driving a commercial motor vehicle)
• No serious or preventable traffic violations (as defined by Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations) in the last 3 years (if operating a commercial motor vehicle)

Preferred Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in horticulture or related field
• Certified nursery and/or landscape professional
• Experience as a landscaping/gardening crew leader or supervisor
• Intermediate proficiency in word processing, spreadsheet, email, and presentation software (e.g., Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
• State or local licensing where required (e.g., Florida, Texas, California)

Pay

The hourly wage range for this position is $23.00 – $45.00. The actual rate will meet or exceed the minimum wage for the job location. Additional premiums may apply in specific circumstances, ranging from $0.35 to $3.00 per hour, based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed.
