Position Summary

TourToTeach communicates and collaborates with all levels of associates regarding store operations, utilizing technology, business initiatives, merchandising, and company direction. Leads and develops teams effectively by teaching training and actively listening to associates, providing feedback, introducing and leading company change efforts, and providing clear expectations and guidance to implement business solutions.

  • Provide clear expectations and guidance to implement business solutions.
  • Communicate business objectives to teams effectively.
  • Model and demonstrate exceptional customer service standards.
  • Follow and demonstrate the One Best Way (OBW) service model.
  • Manage and support customer service initiatives such as Store of the Community and community outreach programs.
  • Ensure customer needs, complaints, and issues are successfully resolved.
  • Develop and implement action plans to correct deficiencies.
  • Provide process improvement leadership to ensure a high quality customer experience.
  • Drive the financial performance and sales of the designated store area.
  • Review and evaluate PL Profit Loss statements.
  • Manage and assist in budgeting, forecasting, and controlling expenses.
  • Maintain and ensure effective merchandise presentation, seasonal transitions, inventory flow, and operational processes.
  • Develop and implement action plans to mitigate shrink and ensure sales and profit goals are achieved.
  • Supervise and develop opportunities for hourly associates.
  • Hire, train, mentor, assign duties, set clear expectations, provide associate recognition, and promote a belonging mindset in the workplace.
  • Recruit and develop qualified associates to meet staffing needs and achieve company growth potential.
  • Coordinate, complete, and oversee job-related activities and assignments.
  • Support key stakeholders, plans, and initiatives to meet customer and business needs.
  • Identify and communicate goals and objectives.
  • Build accountability for and measure progress in achieving results.
  • Identify and address improvement opportunities and demonstrate adaptability.
  • Provide supervision and development opportunities for associates.
  • Hire, train, mentor, assign duties, provide recognition, and promote a belonging mindset in the workplace.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.

  • Live Better U is a Walmart-paid education benefit program for full-time and part-time associates in Walmart and Sam's Club facilities. Programs range from high school completion to bachelor's degrees, including English Language Learning and short-form certificates. Tuition, books, and fees are completely paid for by Walmart.
  • The annual salary range for this position is $65,000.00 - $100,000.00.
  • Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.
  • Additional compensation for certain positions may also include: Regional Pay Zone (RPZ) (based on location), Complex Structure (based on external factors that create challenges), State Pay Differential.
  • This job has an additional differential to meet legislative requirements, where applicable.
  • Minimum Qualifications: 2 years' of college; OR 1 year's retail experience and 1 year's supervisory experience; OR 2 years' general work experience and 1 year's supervisory experience.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor of Science in Business Management and Leadership through Live Better U and Bellevue University, General work experience supervising 5 or more direct reports to include the responsibility of performance management, mentoring, hiring, and firing.
