Position Summary

TourToTeach, managing and supporting customer service initiatives, ensuring customer needs are met, resolving complaints and issues, and developing action plans to correct deficiencies.

What you'll do...

  • Leads and develops teams effectively by teaching training and actively listening to associates.
  • Touring stores and providing feedback.
  • Communicating and collaborating with all levels of associates regarding store operations.
  • Utilizing technology, business initiatives, merchandising, and company direction.
  • Introducing and leading company change efforts.
  • Providing clear expectations and guidance to implement business solutions.
  • Communicating business objectives to teams effectively.
  • Models and demonstrates exceptional customer service standards to store associates.
  • Following and demonstrating the One Best Way (OBW) service model.
  • Managing and supporting customer service initiatives such as Store of the Community and Community Outreach Programs.
  • Ensuring customer needs, complaints, and issues are successfully resolved.
  • Developing and implementing action plans to correct deficiencies.
  • Providing process improvement leadership to ensure a high quality customer experience.
  • Drives the financial performance and sales of the designated store area by reviewing and evaluating PL Profit Loss statements.
  • Managing and assisting in budgeting, forecasting, and controlling expenses in designated business areas.
  • Monitoring and ensuring effective merchandise presentation, seasonal transitions, inventory flow, and operational processes.
  • Developing and implementing action plans to mitigate shrink and ensure sales and profit goals are achieved for the business area.
  • Supervises and develops opportunities for hourly associates by hiring, training, mentoring, assigning duties, setting clear expectations, providing associate recognition, and communicating expectations consistently.
  • Ensures compliance with company policies and procedures by implementing related action plans, utilizing the Open Door Policy, and providing direction and guidance on executing business processes and practices.
  • Respects the individual by building high-performing teams, embracing differences, creating a workplace where associates feel seen, supported, and connected through a culture of belonging, and attracting and retaining the best talent.
  • Acts with Integrity by maintaining and promoting the highest standards of integrity, ethics, and compliance, modeling Walmart values, holding oneself and others accountable, and supporting Walmart's goal of becoming a regenerative company.

Pay & Benefits

The annual salary range for this position is $65,000.00 - $100,000.00. Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include: Regional Pay Zone (RPZ) (based on location), Complex Structure (based on external factors that create challenges).

Live Better U is a Walmart-paid education benefit program for full-time and part-time associates in Walmart and Sam's Club facilities. Programs range from high school completion to bachelor's degrees, including English Language Learning and short-form certificates. Tuition, books, and fees are completely paid for by Walmart.

Additional compensation for certain positions may also include:

  • State Pay Differential (where applicable).

Minimum Qualifications

  • 2 years’ of college;
  • OR 1 year’s retail experience and 1 year’s supervisory experience;
  • OR 2 years’ general work experience and 1 year’s supervisory experience.

Note: For facilities that sell firearms, successful completion of a firearms-specific Criminal Background Check (CBC) and Firearms Authorized Training is required. For facilities that sell only ammunition and have state specific requirements, a current state issued Certificate of Eligibility may be required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science in Business Management and Leadership through Live Better U and Bellevue University;
  • General work experience supervising 5 or more direct reports to include the responsibility of performance management, mentoring, hiring, and firing.
