Position Summary

TourToTeach, driving financial performance and sales, supervises and develops associates, ensuring compliance with company policies and fostering a culture of belonging.

What you'll do...

  • Tour stores and provide feedback to associates, leading team development and change efforts.
  • Communicate and collaborate with all levels of associates regarding store operations, merchandising, and company direction.
  • Model and demonstrate exceptional customer service standards, following the One Best Way (OBW) service model.
  • Manage and support customer service initiatives, such as store of the community and community outreach programs.
  • Ensure customer needs, complaints, and issues are resolved, develop and implement action plans to correct deficiencies, and lead process improvement.
  • Drive the financial performance and sales of the designated store area by reviewing and evaluating PL Profit Loss statements, managing budgets, forecasting, and controlling expenses.
  • Supervise and develop opportunities for hourly associates by hiring, training, mentoring, assigning duties, setting clear expectations, providing associate recognition, and promoting a belonging mindset.
  • Coordinate, complete, and oversee job-related activities and assignments by developing and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders, supporting plans and initiatives, and identifying and addressing improvement opportunities.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures by implementing related action plans, utilizing the Open Door Policy, and providing direction and guidance on executing business processes and practices.
  • Act with integrity by maintaining and promoting the highest standards of ethics and compliance, modeling Walmart values, and encouraging learning from mistakes.
  • Serve customers and members by delivering results, balancing short and long-term priorities, and considering various stakeholders.

  • Attend and successfully complete all job-required trainings and assessments, including firearms-specific Criminal Background Check (CBC) and Firearms Authorized Training if applicable.

    Minimum Qualifications

    • 2 years’ of college; OR 1 year’s retail experience and 1 year’s supervisory experience; OR 2 years’ general work experience and 1 year’s supervisory experience.
    • For facilities selling firearms, successful completion of a firearms-specific Criminal Background Check (CBC) and Firearms Authorized Training.
    • For facilities selling only ammunition and state-specific requirements, a current state issued Certificate of Eligibility.

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Bachelor of Science in Business Management and Leadership through Live Better U and Bellevue University.
    • General work experience supervising 5 or more direct reports to include the responsibility of performance management, mentoring, hiring, and firing.
