Leads and develops teams by teaching, training, and actively listening to associates while touring stores and providing feedback. Collaborates with all levels of associates regarding store operations, technology, business initiatives, merchandising, and company direction. Introduces and leads company change efforts, sets clear expectations, and guides teams to implement business solutions while communicating business objectives effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Model and demonstrate exceptional customer service standards by following the One Best Way (OBW) service model.
  • Manage and support customer service initiatives such as store of the community and community outreach programs.
  • Ensure customer needs, complaints, and issues are successfully resolved; develop and implement action plans to correct deficiencies.
  • Provide process improvement leadership to ensure a high-quality customer experience.
  • Drive financial performance and sales by reviewing Profit & Loss (P&L) statements, managing budgets, forecasting, and controlling expenses.
  • Monitor and ensure effective merchandise presentation, seasonal transitions, inventory flow, and operational processes.
  • Develop and implement action plans to mitigate shrink and achieve sales and profit goals.
  • Supervise and develop hourly associates by hiring, training, mentoring, assigning duties, setting clear expectations, and providing recognition.
  • Promote a belonging mindset in the workplace and recruit qualified associates to meet staffing needs.
  • Coordinate and oversee job-related activities, build relationships with key stakeholders, and support plans to meet customer and business needs.
  • Identify and communicate goals, measure progress, address improvement opportunities, and promote continuous learning.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, mission, values, and standards of ethics and integrity.
  • Support the Open Door Policy and provide guidance on applying these in executing business processes.
  • Build high-performing teams, embrace diversity, and create a workplace where associates feel seen, supported, and connected.
  • Work collaboratively, build trusting relationships, and communicate with impact to motivate and influence.
  • Attract and retain talent, empower and develop associates, and recognize contributions and accomplishments.

Requirements

  • 2 years of college; OR
  • 1 year of retail experience and 1 year of supervisory experience; OR
  • 2 years of general work experience and 1 year of supervisory experience.
  • For facilities that sell firearms: successful completion of a firearms-specific Criminal Background Check (CBC) and Firearms Authorized Training.
  • For facilities that sell only ammunition: may require a current state-issued Certificate of Eligibility.
  • Must attend and successfully complete all job-required trainings and assessments (e.g., Academy trainings, Open Door trainings).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science in Business Management and Leadership through Live Better U and Bellevue University.
  • Certificate of Completion in People and Business Leadership through Live Better U and Bellevue University.
  • General work experience supervising 5 or more direct reports, including performance management, mentoring, hiring, and firing.

Pay

The annual salary range for this position is $65,000.00 - $100,000.00. Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Regional Pay Zone (RPZ), Complex Structure, and state pay differentials may apply where applicable.
