Supervise and develop associates in a Sam’s Club logistics facility, ensuring compliance with company policies, safety standards, and productivity goals.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain quality and safety standards by training associates on Logistics and company policies, standards, and procedures.
  • Monitor associate compliance with policies, standards, and procedures; distribute and maintain supporting documentation.
  • Supervise and develop associates and leaders by assigning duties, coordinating workloads, monitoring performance, and providing feedback.
  • Identify training and development needs; participate in hiring, promotion, coaching, teaching, and evaluation of associates and leaders.
  • Monitor and manage productivity by preparing, reviewing, and analyzing business reports.
  • Identify associate, customer, and supplier concerns; consult with others to determine corrective actions or resolution recommendations.
  • Implement the business plan by communicating goals and managing staffing and scheduling to achieve facility objectives (e.g., production, quality, safety).
  • Serve as the primary point of contact between the organization and vendors; resolve routine supplier issues and escalate non-routine issues.
  • Research alternative vendors or suppliers; participate in supplier selection and ensure purchases meet delivery dates and quality specifications.
  • Suggest ways to reduce variation and waste in processes; participate in requirements analysis for process changes.
  • Illustrate problems, opportunities, and methods for improving business processes; help evaluate factors for change programs.
  • Gather data for business process analysis; create files of relevant information for vendors, customers, or contracts.
  • Implement organizational protocols and procedures for contracts management; review contracts for compliance with specifications and regulations.
  • Administer locally relevant contracts; document capital appropriations and project authorizations.
  • Produce budget reports of planned versus actual expenses with variances explained; apply established organizational practices in budgeting.
  • Demonstrate up-to-date expertise in logistics; provide expert advice and guidance to others in applying best practices.
  • Build relationships with key stakeholders; identify business needs and support the implementation of business solutions.
  • Model compliance with company policies and procedures; support company mission, values, and standards of ethics and integrity.
  • Foster a culture of belonging by embracing differences in people, cultures, ideas, and experiences; create opportunities for associates to thrive.
  • Build strong, trusting relationships; communicate with impact, energy, and positivity to motivate and influence.
  • Strengthen the team by mentoring others and recognizing contributions and accomplishments.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Associate’s degree in business, logistics, or related area and 1 year’s supervisory experience.
  • OR Bachelor’s degree in business, logistics, or related area.
  • OR 1 year’s Walmart Logistics management experience.
  • OR 2 years’ Walmart Logistics experience.
  • OR 2 years’ supervisory experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Logistics, or related field and 1 year’s supervisory experience.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office.
  • Walmart Logistics supervisory experience.

Pay

The annual salary range for this position is $72,050.00 - $108,000.00. Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses and may include Regional Pay Zone (RPZ) adjustments based on location.
