About the role
As an (Senior) Optimization and Planning Analyst, you will lead the US operations planning process for several products in our Intermediates and Derivatives business and for joint global planning with colleagues in the US and Asia. Your responsibilities include developing and maintaining operating plans which include demand forecasting, production and supply planning and optimization, distribution planning and inventory targeting. You will also provide analytical support for business optimization.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain operating plans including demand forecasting, production and supply planning and optimization, distribution planning and inventory targeting.
- Provide analytical support for business optimization.
- Interface cross-functionally with the business, sales, legal, manufacturing and the supply chain.
- Maintain and improve the US operations planning process for several products in our Intermediates and Derivatives business.
- Collaborate with co-producers in global swaps, exchange, toll and purchasing agreements.
- Monitor performance versus plan and recommend improvements.
- Identify new strategic and tactical integration opportunities from an overall business perspective between manufacturing sites and with our partners.
- Drive and promote disciplined execution among stakeholders, ensuring focus on the end-to-end mindset and value delivery in the planning process.
- Translate and articulate optimisation outputs into tactical and strategic business requirements and objectives for both the supply as well as commercial organization.
- Support development of the Commercial & Contracting Strategy for product lines.
- Lead crisis management during supply and other disruptions.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering required (Chemical Engineering preferred).
- Preference for APICS certification.
- Minimum of 6 years' experience in a manufacturing, business planning and analysis, supply chain or a commercial role.
- A broad knowledge of the chemical industry business, manufacturing operations and economics.
- Experience with analytical and decision-making tools and methods such as PIMMS/Spiral/OMP/ SAP IBP, Excel, PowerPoint and SAP.

- Experience with demand forecasting and supply chain optimization.
- Ability to analyze data and develop actionable insights.
