US Military and Law Enforcement Specialist- US South Central

About the Role

This position provides an opportunity to transition from other private, public, government, or military experience to a 3M career. As a Personal Safety Division US Military and Law Enforcement Specialist for the South-Central region, you will collaborate with innovative 3Mers globally, focusing on providing Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) solutions to meet customer requirements for products sold to the US Federal Government. The role emphasizes selling 3M Peltor, 3M Scott, and other 3M PSD PPE products.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a territory sales strategy to achieve short, medium, and long-term sales goals.
  • Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with new and existing customers, channel partners, key stakeholders, and decision-makers within the Department of Defense and Federal Agencies.
  • Maintain proficiency as a subject matter expert on 3M Peltor and 3M Scott portfolio products.
  • Identify, develop, and close customer opportunities within the assigned territory.
  • Leverage strategic channel relationships and drive customer engagement plans for key customers.
  • Deliver excellent post-sales support to customers and channel partners for PSD product portfolios to ensure satisfaction and retention.
  • Achieve forecast goals for 3M Peltor, 3M Scott, and 3M PSD products.
  • Manage and maintain an up-to-date sales pipeline using CRM tools.
  • Attend trade shows, conferences, and networking events to promote company products and expand the customer base.

This position requires driving a company vehicle, which includes pre-employment and ongoing review of motor vehicle history.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start).
  • Fifteen (15) years of combined service in the US Military, Federal Agency, or Law Enforcement in a private, public, governmental, or military environment.
  • Current, valid Driver’s License.

Skills

  • Experience with tactical radios/communication technology and/or Self-Contained Breathing Apparatus (SCBA) respiratory equipment.
  • Experience with 3M Personal Safety Division products, primarily 3M Peltor and Scott Safety branded solutions.
  • Exceptional communication, organization, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Capable of working independently in a fast-paced environment to effectively manage change and ambiguity with an appropriate sense of urgency.

Work Location & Travel

Work location: US South Central region, specifically Texas and within 2 hours proximity of a commercial airport. Travel may include up to 75% domestic. Relocation assistance may be authorized.

Must be legally authorized to work in the country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status).

Pay

The expected compensation range for this position is $113,752 - $139,031, which includes base pay plus variable incentive pay, if eligible. The specific compensation offered may vary based on factors including relevant knowledge, training, skills, work location, and experience.
