[US-DC] Area Manager Il, Production

About the role

In this hands-on supervisory role, you will impact all aspects of production and cultivate a culture that is second to none. You will immerse yourself in daily operations to optimize productivity, promote growth, spark innovation, and drive change.

Responsibilities

• Respectfully communicate with all employees and leads while providing coaching and development to shift hourly associates.
• Report information and update managers throughout every shift with knowledge of that day’s production.
• Resolve employee issues through appropriate problem resolution.
• Balance quality, productivity, cost, safety, and morale to achieve positive results in all areas.
• Manage departmental performance measures, including visual controls, and provide regular progress reports to Associate Production Manager/Manager during the shift.
• Attend to other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED or related work experience.
• 1-3 years of supervisory experience in a production environment is preferred.
• Ability to train and develop a large group of employees and manage multiple production lines.
• Strong problem-solving skills and results-driven mindset.
• Ability to communicate with employees tactfully and diplomatically.
• Ability to multitask, including tracking/monitoring production and maintaining productivity.
• Computer literate to input information into the computer.
• Ability to take direction and relay information to employees.
• Comfortable working in a cool and/or cold environment (10º - 40º).

Pay

Illinois Pay Range: $67,725—$75,250 USD
