About the role
This position is an onsite role and does not offer a hybrid or remote option.
Responsibilities
- Obtains patient history and vital signs.
- Explains procedures, documents care, and communicates findings with RN and Physician.
- Assists with urologic radiographic and ultrasound examinations and cystoscopies.
- Performs UDS studies with Provider is present.
- Assists with minor surgical procedures.
- Performs urinary catheter insertions and removals.
- Performs laboratory duties.
- Aids with simple dressing changes.
- Communicates prescription refill requests to Physician and calls in refills to pharmacy.
- Performs delegated clinical tasks with a written provider order.
- Collections or prepares specimens.
- Administers medications and injections per practice-specific guidelines.
- Sends specimens to testing laboratory.
- Communicates abnormal results to providers.
- Cleans and restocks rooms, supplies and equipment.
- Transports patients.
Requirements
- An EMT-Paramedic Completion of a Medical Assistant program through an accredited school or documentation of a medical program that meets the criteria of a medical assistant program such as military prepared corpsman or medic.
- Trained in urological procedures through vocational or post-hire on-the-job physician training.
- Required Licensure/Certification: Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) OR Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) OR State licensure as EMT, EMT-I, or Paramedic.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) healthcare Provider and any relevant life support certification as determined at position level.
- 1 year of healthcare related experience.
- BLS through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer with card in-hand before start date.
- BLS or CPR card must be good through sixty days of hire.

Pay
$22.14 - $28.78 / hour. Pay is dependent on applicant's relevant experience.
Schedule
Full Time, 80.00 hours per pay period (2 weeks)
