Position Overview
Total Negotiated Salary (TNS) calculation includes AAMC salary benchmarks for Urology ranging from $400,986 to $498,663. The posted UC salary scales set the base pay determined by rank and/or step at appointment. This position includes membership in the Health Sciences Compensation Plan, which provides for eligibility for additional compensation.
About the Role
The University of California, Irvine, School of Medicine, Department of Urology, expects to open positions for physicians across its divisions. These roles will be at the Assistant Professor level or higher, based on the candidate's qualifications, and will be part of the Health Sciences Clinical Series (non-tenure track). Candidates in this series must demonstrate capabilities for teaching, professional service, and/or research.
Urology Divisions Include: General Urology, Endourology, Urologic Oncology, Female Urology, Reconstructive Urology, and Men's Health.
The successful candidate will be responsible for clinical care of patients and supporting our mission of discover, teach, and heal at our main campus and community-based or affiliate clinical sites.
Qualifications
Basic qualifications (required at time of application):
- MD, DO, or equivalent in health-related fields
- Eligible for a California medical license or equivalent certification/permit, as determined by the California Medical Board
Additional qualifications (required at time of start):
- Valid California medical license, fluoroscopy certificate, and DEA license
- Completed a Urology residency program
- Fellowship-trained in any of the subspecialties listed above
- Either board-certified or board-eligible in Urology at the time of application
