Position Overview
Total Negotiated Salary (TNS) calculation includes AAMC salary benchmarks for Urology, ranging from $400,986 to $438,352. The posted UC salary scales set the minimum pay determined by rank and/or step at appointment. This position includes membership in the health sciences compensation plan, which provides eligibility for additional compensation.
About the Role
The University of California, Irvine, School of Medicine, Department of Urology, is seeking an outstanding Urologist in the Health Sciences Clinical Professor series or the Clinical "X" Professor series, either at the Assistant or Associate level. We are looking for applicants with clinical expertise in pelvic floor disorders, neurogenic bladder, and lower urinary tract symptoms in both males and females. As the only academic center in Orange County, there is a robust referral pattern and high surgical volume.
The successful candidate will play a crucial role in educating and teaching students, residents, and fellows in Urology and Obstetrics and Gynecology through our ACGME-accredited Urogynecology and Reconstructive Surgery fellowship.
Responsibilities
- Provide clinical care for Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery patients
- Support the mission of discover, teach, and heal at the main campus and community-based or affiliate clinical sites
Basic Qualifications (Required at Time of Application)
- MD, DO, or equivalent in health-related fields
- Eligibility for a California medical license or equivalent certification/permit, as determined by the California Medical Board
- Completion of a Urology residency program
Additional Qualifications (Required at Time of Start)
- Valid California medical license
- Fluoroscopy certificate
- DEA license
- Fellowship training in Urogynecology and Reconstructive Pelvic Surgery
- Board-certified or board-eligible in Urology
