About the role

The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN, is seeking physician candidates for a faculty position in the Division of Urogynecology.

Responsibilities

  • Offer extensive exposure to managing complex benign pelvic surgery beyond incontinence and prolapse, including treating a spectrum of pelvic floor disorders, such as urogenital fistula, congenital anomalies, and participating in multispecialty complex abdominal-pelvic surgery.
  • Collaborate with specialists from obstetrics, gastroenterology, urology, neurology, colorectal surgery, plastic surgery, and physical medicine and rehabilitation to form a comprehensive team for patient evaluation and management.
  • Work closely with team members to foster an inclusive environment that respects diverse backgrounds, experiences, and perspectives to enhance a culture of belonging.
  • Conduct high-quality research with potential for external funding and prospective clinical/surgical trials.
  • Commit to educating medical students, residents, and fellows.
  • Lead activities that promote an inclusive environment for coworkers and patients.

Qualifications

  • Completed an ACGME-accredited URPS fellowship and be board-certified/eligible in OB/GYN and URPS.
  • Proficient in the surgical treatment of pelvic floor disorders.
  • Demonstrated ability to conduct high-quality research with potential for external funding and prospective clinical/surgical trials.
  • Commitment to educating medical students, residents, and fellows.
  • Desire to augment the academic practice with a strong interest in surgical education and research.

Compensation Detail

The minimum starting salary for surgical specialties may range from $307,250 to $843,000. This range reflects full-time total base compensation prior to consideration of additional experience or duties. Pay for the selected candidate will vary based on specialty, experience, FTE, internal equity, or external market data.
