Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Counsels and addresses client concerns and questions regarding the drug, urinary and breathalyzer screen.
- Maintains and updates client data as necessary in the patient's Electronic Health Record (EHR).
- Collects, audits, and enters data and all requisite patient information into the Treatment and Assessment Report Generator Tool (TARGET) database.
- Processes all urine and drug analysis documentation for scanning and provides case management support to counselors.
- Maintains accurate inventory of testing supplies and submits order requests to replenish the supplies in a timely manner.
- Conducts and supervises urine and saliva drug screen samples and administers breathalyzers from clients of the same gender in accordance with established procedures for substance abuse testing protocols.
- Monitors and detects any potential device or substance used to interfere with the drug test during the collection of the sample while adhering to strict confidentiality.
- Quickly and accurately records and processes specimens, ensuring all relevant information is accurate, collection procedures are followed, while always maintaining chain of custody.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Excellent computer skills, especially with data entry, required.
- Solid command of office technology and administrative workflows, with specific expertise in Microsoft Excel, file management, word processing, and accurate transcription.
- Working knowledge of Electronic Health Records (EHRs) and health-related computer software applications.
- Ability to work in a cross-culture environment, understanding the social and cultural context of the patients at the didgʷálič Wellness Center.
- Recognizing the role of trauma, historical, community, family, and personal in wellness and recovery.
- Strong attendance record with a demonstrated commitment to workplace presence and reliability.
- Understands and adheres to state (RCW, WAC) and federal confidentiality regulations (42 CFR part 2).
- Knowledge of substance use disorder and its effects on individuals, families, and communities is required.
- Ability to communicate effectively with patients and their families.
