Urgent Need - Senior Oracle Database Administrator (Oracle RAC / Database Lead)

Location: Washington, DC (Onsite)

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Oracle Database Administrator to support a federal Oracle enterprise environment. The candidate will manage, maintain, optimize, and secure Oracle database platforms, including Oracle RAC, Grid Infrastructure, Oracle Database Appliance, and enterprise database services.

Responsibilities

• Perform administration, troubleshooting, monitoring, and optimization of Oracle Database environments.
• Manage Oracle RAC clusters, Grid Infrastructure, ASM, and database availability solutions.
• Perform Oracle database installation, configuration, upgrades, patching, and lifecycle management.
• Apply Oracle Critical Patch Updates (CPU), security patches, and database upgrades.
• Support Oracle Database Vault, Advanced Security, backup/recovery, and performance tuning.
• Manage Oracle Enterprise Manager / Oracle Cloud Control monitoring.
• Support Oracle Database Appliance (ODA) lifecycle activities.
• Perform SQL tuning, database performance analysis, and capacity planning.
• Support migration activities from legacy Oracle environments to OCI.
• Develop automation scripts using SQL, PL/SQL, Shell, Python, or related technologies.
• Support vulnerability remediation and security hardening activities.
• Maintain technical documentation, SOPs, and operational procedures.
• Participate in knowledge transfer activities with Government personnel.

Requirements

• Active Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) certification.
• Strong experience supporting Oracle RAC environments.
• Experience with Oracle Grid Infrastructure and ASM.
• Experience with Oracle Database administration, patching, upgrades, and troubleshooting.
• Experience supporting enterprise Oracle production environments.
• Experience with Linux-based Oracle deployments.
• Active Tier 4 High-Risk Public Trust clearance.
• U.S. Citizenship.

Preferred Qualifications

• Oracle Certified Master (OCM).
• Oracle Database Appliance experience.
• Oracle Database Vault experience.
• Federal Government Oracle environment experience.
