About the Role

As a Certified Home Health Aide (CHHA) at FirstLight Home Care, you will provide exceptional, personalized care to clients, enhancing their quality of life and offering peace of mind to their families. Full-time and part-time opportunities are available, with flexible scheduling including day shifts (minimum 4 hours), weekends, and morning shifts.

Responsibilities

• Provide personalized, non-medical care aligned with clients' Service Plan/Care Plan
• Assist clients with personal care tasks, including bathing, grooming, feeding, and mobility
• Provide companion care activities such as conversation, light housekeeping, meal planning, and preparation
• Provide medication reminders
• Monitor, record, and report changes in the client’s physical condition, behavior, or appearance to the supervisor
• Utilize our Time Management system for clock-in/clock-out and document completed tasks in accordance with company policies
• Stay updated with relevant changing technology
• Adhere to HIPAA regulations
• Participate in quality assurance reviews and evaluations
• Uphold, support, and promote all company policies and procedures

Requirements

• High School diploma or General Education Degree (GED), or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Previous caregiving experience (preferred)
• Possession of state-required certifications
• Valid Driver’s License with adequate auto insurance, if applicable
• A passion for caregiving and a desire to help others
• A commitment to being present and providing quality care
• Empathy, patience, kindness, and respect
• Ability to carry out direction, both verbal and written
• Ability to effectively manage the demands of the job
