Urgent Care Technician

About the role

Cape Cod Veterinary Specialists is seeking an experienced Veterinary Technician to join their team at the Dennis location. This role involves assisting veterinarians in assessing, treating, and supporting stable patients whose needs may not require full critical care services.

Responsibilities

• Assist veterinarians throughout the patient visit
• Provide hands-on patient care
• Support triage for stable urgent cases
• Client education and discharge instructions
• Treatment of various conditions such as bandage changes, ear and skin concerns, urinary tract infections, lameness exams, wound care, minor injuries, gastrointestinal concerns, and more

Requirements

• Two years of general practice experience preferred
• Strong interest in urgent care and emergency medicine
• Strong communication and client-service skills
• Comfort working weekends and participating in a holiday rotation

Qualifications

• CVT, RVT, or LVT credential
• Interest in obtaining veterinary technician licensure
• Experience in urgent care, emergency, specialty, or a high-volume general practice
