About the role

American Family Care (AFC) is the largest primary and urgent care companies in the U.S. with over 300 locations. We provide medical services seven days a week on an appointment and walk-in basis. Our state-of-the-art centers focus on the episodic treatment of acute illnesses and injuries, workers' compensation, and occupational medicine. Each location is equipped with an onsite lab and in-house x-ray capability. AFC is the parent company of AFC Franchising, LLC (AFCF). This position works directly with the franchised business location.

Responsibilities

• Provide and manage high-quality patient care
• Serve as a supervisor for all clinical staff, including mid-level providers
• Oversee Occupational health / DOT Physicals / Workers Compensation / Immigration Physicals
• Ensure all charts are filled out and medical records are completed in a timely fashion
• Process biological specimens when needed
• Lab Supervision as needed
• Other duties and responsibilities as assigned

Qualifications

• Board Certified/Board Eligible – Emergency Room, Family Practice, Occupational Medicine, or Orthopedic Medicine (w/ER or Urgent Care experience)
• Excellent communicator with staff, patients and management
• Professional appearance, great attitude and great bedside manners
• Problem solver, quick learner, fast thinker
• Computer systems and EMR savvy
• HIPPA compliant
• Active and current medical license to practice in the state of California, DEA number, and state-controlled substance certificate, as required

Compensation

$105.00 - $150.00 per hour
