Summary of Performance Expectations

Promotes a professional patient-centered practice image while performing history, physical examinations, diagnoses, therapeutic treatment regimens as required, interprets lab results all under the supervision and directions of a practicing physician. Utilizes a team-based approach to all tasks.

Education And Credentials

• Required: Graduate of an accredited Nursing Program and accredited Nurse Practitioner Program.
• Current NC license.
• ACLS and PALS or BCLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) is required within three months of employment date.
• PREFERRED: Family or Specialty Nurse Practitioner Certification.

Work Experience

• REQUIRED: See Practice Area Requirements below. Given training and on-the-job experience incumbent should be proficient in the basic aspects of the job within three months of employment date.
• PREFERRED: Two or more years of experience in practice area.
