UR Menopause and Women's Health - Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant

Full-time, regular position with 40 scheduled weekly hours. Rotating work shift.

Compensation range: $98,508.00 - $132,995.00. Individual annual salaries will be determined by considering factors including market data, education, experience, qualifications, expertise, and internal equity.

About the Role

Exciting opportunity for an Advanced Practice Provider (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) in an established OB/GYN office specializing in menopause and mid-life women’s health. Work in collaboration with physicians and APPs to assess mid-life women and their healthcare needs.

Responsibilities

• Provide gynecology care for women across the lifespan with a focus on mid-life health, including menopause symptom management, contraception, menopause hormone therapy, management of mid-life GYN concerns, and preventative GYN care.
• Secure a complete health history, including obstetric, gynecologic, contraceptive, medical, surgical, sexual, family health, and psychosocial; record findings accurately and succinctly.
• Perform physical examinations with special emphasis on the reproductive system, including breast examinations, pelvic examination, cancer screening tests, diagnosis of sexually transmitted infections (STIs), and specialized GYN procedures. Colposcopy experience preferred.
• Participate in accomplishing customer-focused goals, provide referrals, and assure follow-up.
• Perform, order, and interpret labs and diagnostic studies as indicated.
• Provide relevant health instruction, including family planning, nutrition, sexual counseling, and principles of health promotion and maintenance.
• Participate in the education of learners (students and new employees) using clinical learning experiences, knowledge sharing, and skill training.

Requirements

• Current New York State license with national certification.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively with diverse staff and clients.
• Demonstrated clinical competence, superior verbal and written communication skills, interpersonal effectiveness, customer relation skills, and computer competence.
• Active desire to learn.

Qualifications

Nurse Practitioner

• Master's degree as a Nurse Practitioner.
• Active New York State Registered Nurse license in good standing.
• Active New York State Nurse Practitioner licensure in good standing.
• Current national certification as a Nurse Practitioner.

Physician Assistant

• Completion of an ARC-PA approved Physician Assistant program.
• Active New York State Physician Assistant licensure in good standing.
• Current national certification as a Physician Assistant by NCCPA (National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants).

OB/GYN experience preferred. Menopause Society Certified Practitioner certification preferred.
