Key Responsibilities
- Provide tutoring in Math and English coursework for students in grades 9-12.
- Travel with staff to area high schools to offer tutoring support, as student worker’s college schedule allows.
- Affix with administrative tasks including filing, data entry, event preparation, and creating content for social media accounts.
- Contribute to the creation and distribution of flyers, publications and other project-related materials.
- Participate in various projects and tasks as needed to support the Upward Bound program.
Requirements
- Currently enrolled at NCMC.
- Strong proficiency in Math and English.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Reliable and able to travel to local high schools with program staff.
- Experience with social media and basic office software (e.g., Microsoft Office).
- Organized, detail-oriented, and able to handle multiple tasks efficiently.
Qualifications
- Preference will be given to students who are from low-income backgrounds or are first-generation college students, similar to the students served by the Upward Bound Project.
