Upward Bound Science Academic Content Specialist - Grant-Funded (PT)

About the role

The Upward Bound Science Academic Content Specialist is a grant-funded position at Mohawk Valley Community College. This part-time role is offered for the summer only, from July through August. The program serves high school students in grades 9-12.

Responsibilities

• Develops a curriculum aligned with NYS learning standards for grades 9-12
• Teaches classroom instruction based on the developed curriculum
• Assists with lunch supervision in the College’s cafeteria
• Performs other duties as assigned by the Program Coordinator

Qualifications

• Required: Bachelors degree in a content-related field
• PREFERRED: Master's degree and NYS Teacher certification
