About the role
Glenelg Country School (GCS) is an independent day school serving students from age 2 to grade 12. Our mission is to cultivate a diverse community of learners who discover, contribute, thrive, and excel. We seek two Upper School Science educators to teach Physics for the 2026-2027 school year. Teaching assignments will include multiple sections of Physics, including AP Physics 1 and AP Physics C (transitioning to AP Physics 2 in 2027-2028).
Responsibilities
- Provide engaging instruction in Physics.
- Implement teaching strategies, activities, and approaches to learning.
- Collaborate with other teachers on Physics curriculum and departmental course of study.
- Affirm and evaluate student progress.
- Supervise student behavior.
- Develop a sense of partnership with and among students.
- Exercise good judgement and maturity.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- A B.A. or B.S. in physics, science, or a related field is required.
- Experience working with middle or high school students is a significant advantage.

- Compensation Range: $55,000 – $90,000.
