UPK- Substitute Teacher Assistant

About the role

Provide enjoyable and meaningful activities for children in a daycare/preschool setting, support opening and closing the center, work flexible Monday‑Friday hours, and contribute to a nurturing environment for young learners.

Responsibilities

• Provide enjoyable and meaningful activities for the children in our care
• Open the center (starting as early as 8 am)
• Close the center (working until 1 pm based on schedule)
• Work a flexible schedule Monday through Friday
• Participate in continuing education and advancement opportunities

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent
• NYS TA certification preferred but not required
• Must enjoy working with children
• High energy level and caring personality
• Experience with special needs children and preschool‑aged children a plus
• Babysitting experience helpful but not required
• Prior childcare, daycare, or preschool experience preferred

Schedule

• Monday through Friday
• Flexible hours based on availability
• Shifts can start as early as 8 am to open the center or end as late as 1 pm for closing
• Hours vary from week to week
• Typical window: 8 am – 1 pm
