Upgrade Material Stocker - 1st shift Subs

About the role

Stores, issues, and moves a variety of materials and products, which includes frequent lifting of boxes (3-45 lbs.) off pallets (6 inches off floor to chest level) and/or VGV's. Maintains and verifies actual inventory and materials being handled. Supplies parts for a line(s) and transports material through the plant as needed. Operates a variety of material handling equipment to move material throughout the plant. May disassemble, sort, repair, and salvage a variety of products. Flexes into the line as needed. May plan and organize the execution of daily line schedule, including leading cell in team leader's absence.

• Accuracy of inventory record and quality of work is essential
• Responsible for a neat, orderly, and safe work area
• Responsible for identifying and implementing improvement ideas in work area
• Assists in training other associates

Qualifications

• Associates must not have been awarded a job through a posting in the previous six (6) months (exceptions may be considered if circumstances beyond the control of the associate caused a shift change or demotion or based on business needs; associates seeking a higher labor grade may apply without waiting 6 months)
• No written disciplinary warnings within six (6) months of the posting date
• Cannot have less than 17 UTO hours
• Must be able to work 8+ hours per day and 40+ hours per week
• Must meet all the minimum qualifications outlined on the job bid
• Selected associates will receive the necessary training to perform the requirements of this position, to include processes and computer requirements
• A 90-day probationary period applies to all job postings
