Upgrade Material Stocker - 1st shift 2HL

About the role

Material Stockers store, issue, and move a variety of materials and products throughout the plant, with frequent lifting of boxes (3-45 lbs) off pallets (6 inches off floor to chest level) and/or VGV's. This role maintains and verifies actual inventory, supplies parts for production lines, and operates material handling equipment.

Responsibilities

• Store, issue, and move materials and products, including frequent lifting of boxes (3-45 lbs) off pallets (6 inches off floor to chest level) and/or VGV's
• Maintain and verify actual inventory and materials being handled
• Supply parts for a line(s) and transport material through the plant as needed
• Operate a variety of material handling equipment to move material throughout the plant
• Disassemble, sort, repair, and salvage a variety of products as needed
• Ensure quality and quantity of work produced
• Assist in training other associates
• Flex into the line as needed
• Maintain accuracy of inventory records and quality of work
• Maintain a neat, orderly, and safe work area
• Plan and organize the execution of daily line schedule, including leading cell in team leader's absence
• Identify and implement improvement ideas in work area

Qualifications

• Must not have been awarded a job through a posting in the previous six (6) months (exceptions may be considered if circumstances beyond the associate's control caused a shift change or demotion, or based on business needs; associates seeking a higher labor grade may apply without waiting 6 months)
• No written disciplinary warnings within six (6) months of the posting date
• Must have no less than 17 UTO hours
• Must be able to work 8+ hours per day and 40+ hours per week
• Must meet all minimum qualifications outlined on the job bid
• Selected associates will receive necessary training to perform the requirements of this position, including processes and computer requirements
