Schedule

  • Full-time, contract position
  • 4-12-hour shifts, 6:00am to 6:00pm (Mandatory Sundays)

About the role

Clark Personnel is seeking an Electrical/Automation Technician to join a growing and dynamic team.

Responsibilities

  • Disassemble and assemble production equipment to replace worn or damaged parts.
  • Perform preventative maintenance by cleaning, lubricating, and replacing worn or defective components.
  • Troubleshoot and repair electrical and mechanical equipment.
  • Install, maintain, and repair automated systems and machinery.
  • Diagnose and repair electrical and automation system malfunctions.
  • Conduct routine inspections and maintenance checks on automated systems.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
  • Program and troubleshoot PLCs.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives for automation processes.
  • Perform equipment setup and changeovers for packaging machinery.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as an Automation Technician or in a similar role.
  • 1 to 2 years of experience in a similar manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Previous food packaging experience preferred, but not required.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certification in electrical technology or a related field is a plus.
  • Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude.
  • Knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems, computers and information technology, switches, PLCs, and building electrical systems.
  • Knowledge of programmable logic controllers (PLCs), FactoryTalk, Studio 5000, and Logix 500.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics.
  • Willingness to work varying schedules and hours.
  • Frequently lift up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift up to 75 pounds.
  • Climb and work from ladders up to 15 feet high.
  • Stand and walk for up to 12 hours per day.
  • Comfortable working in varying temperatures and weather conditions as needed.
