About the role

IES Residential is seeking an Electrical Service Technician to join our team in Katy, TX. Ideal candidates will have 2-4 years of hands-on electrical experience, strong troubleshooting skills, and a commitment to quality work.

Responsibilities

  • Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems in residential settings
  • Handle service calls in homeowner-occupied homes
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical issues in the field
  • Read blueprints, wiring diagrams, and schematics
  • Run conduit (PVC, EMT, MC, Romex) and set t-poles
  • Install panels, outlets, switches, and fixtures
  • Work independently with a company service truck
  • Deliver excellent customer service to homeowners

Requirements

  • 2+ years of electrical experience
  • Strong knowledge of NEC and local codes
  • Proven troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
  • Experience with tools, testing equipment, and service work
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus

Qualifications

  • Lift up to 50 lbs
  • Comfortable with ladders, heights, and outdoor work
  • Work in various weather conditions

  • Ability to work independently in the field
