Unrepresented Bodily Injury Adjuster - National General
About the role
This role is responsible for investigating and confirming the facts of loss for complex automobile accidents. The position determines coverage, liability, and damages, and adjusts and negotiates claims within established authority levels. The role also includes handling injury claims within our Initial Handler Bodily Injury (IHBI) Casualty Unit.
Responsibilities
- Determines subrogation or fraud potential and how to handle for complex cases
- Applies advanced understanding of insurance policies written by the company, the industry, and organizational relationships within the company and department
- Handles investigation regarding all aspects of complex auto claims (coverage, liability and damages) with the exercise discretion and independence within increased level of authority
- For claims involving injuries (if handled), learns how to review, evaluate, and negotiate moderate to complex injury claims
- Recognizes and identifies body parts of a vehicle and understanding other potential property damage
- Identifies customer needs and works to meet those needs using appropriate customer service skills
Requirements
We are seeking an experienced Unrepresented Bodily Injury Consultant who is preferably located within the Eastern, Central, or Mountain time zones. The ideal candidate is a self-motivated claims professional with strong time management skills and the ability to successfully manage a high-volume caseload while working independently.
Qualifications
- Experience handling casualty injury claims
- Conducts thorough coverage investigations
- Negotiates settlements
- Maintains full ownership of claims throughout the life cycle
- Experience managing unrepresented bodily injury claims in Texas and Louisiana is highly preferred

Pay
Base compensation offered for this role is:
- Adjuster Cons I: $53,500.00 - 77,800.00/salary
- Adjuster Cons II: $56,000.00 - 82,500.00/salary
- Adjuster Sr. Cons I: $68,500.00 - 104,100.00/salary
Schedule
Employees eligible to work from home also receive a monthly connectivity reimbursement to help offset internet costs. When working from home, you must have a dedicated, private workspace free from distractions, along with appropriate desk and seating.
