About the role

The internship is designed for college seniors seeking hands-on experience reporting and producing compelling local stories for television and digital platforms.

Responsibilities

• Learn from award-winning journalists
• Strengthen on-air presentation skills
• Build a strong resume reel
• Write, shoot and edit reporter packages
• Develop enterprise story ideas
• Conduct interviews
• Report for digital and social platforms
• Observe how a professional newsroom operates under daily deadlines

Requirements

• Commit to 16 to 24 hours a week
• Have reliable transportation to the station in High Point
• Submit an on-air resume reel to be considered
• Strong writing and communication skills required
• Willingness to collaborate and take feedback
