About the role
WOWK-TV is committed to developing talent and interest in the television industry and provides internship opportunities in the News department.
Responsibilities
- Assist in gathering and reporting news stories
- Help produce and edit video content
- Support reporters and producers with research and logistics
- Learn about the day-to-day operations of a television news station
Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age
- Enrolled in an accredited school, college or university
- Must provide a letter from the student's school stating that the student will be granted credit for the internship
Qualifications
- Strong interest in journalism and television news
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Basic knowledge of video editing software
Skills
- Research and writing skills
- Photography and videography skills (optional)
- Time management and organizational skills
