Qualifications
- Must currently have a Secret Clearance and be eligible for a TS/SCI
- B.S. in Electrical Engineering or Technician in an applicable engineering or science field
- Minimum 3 years of experience with degree or 7 years of experience without degree
- FAA Part 107 certification or obtain within 6 months of employment
Requirements
- Hands-on professional experience within the last 5 years with Group 1 and/or Group 2 UxS assembly, integration, testing, operation, maintenance, and/or repair (Group 3 experience may be considered)
- Experience with commercially available UxS is desirable
- Extensive knowledge in BetaFlight, ArduPilot, and PX4 (5 years)
- Extensive knowledge and hands-on experience building drones (5 years)
- Knowledgeable in electronic propulsion and combustible power systems (5 years)
- Proficient in building, testing, and troubleshooting electrical and mechanical assemblies, including knowledge of analog and digital circuits, AC/DC electronics, and the ability to use test equipment (e.g., multimeter, spectrum analyzer, oscilloscopes)
- Knowledgeable and comfortable selecting electronic parts and sensors for various projects
- Comfortable working in a shop environment with loud noises and industrial power tools
- May be required to lift 50 lbs
- Adept with power and hand tools for assembly and repairs
- Proficient using computer-aided design (CAD) software for rapid prototyping and additive manufacturing
- Hands-on experience using various 3D printing technologies (e.g., FDM, SLS, SLA) and strong understanding in selecting materials (e.g., PLA, PETG/ABS, TPU)
- Skilled in soldering and de-soldering electrical components, including surface-mounted devices (SMD) and various sensors
- Ability to perform routine maintenance, diagnose issues, and conduct repairs using technical manuals, including hardware assembly, troubleshooting common error messages, and primary/secondary servicing
- Familiar with C, C++, and Python
- Ability to use developmental tools, including Integrated Development Environments (IDEs), compilers, and hardware debuggers, to compile firmware or troubleshoot low-level issues
