About the role
Leidos’ Defense Uncrewed Systems Integration and Test is seeking a motivated and ambitious UAS Interoperability Technician to join the Software, Simulation, Systems Engineering and Integration Directorate (S3I) Joint Technology Center – Systems Integration Lab (JSIL) Technology and Certification Center.
Responsibilities
- Perform Risk Reduction Testing (RRT) based on system capability requirements developed and established by the customer.
- Conduct Army Interoperability Certification (AIC) testing of candidate system software and hardware.
- Develop solutions to complex interoperability problems during all phases of testing.
- Work closely with the JSIL leadership to provide support during the system’s development lifecycle.
- Interface with the customer to help establish testing practices and meet their software and hardware delivery needs.
Requirements
- BS degree in a technical discipline (Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) plus 2-4 years of experience or Masters degree with less than 2 years in a technical discipline (Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Mathematics).
- In lieu of a degree 9+ years of UAS equivalent experience will be considered.
- Familiarity with UAS flight and mission operations.
- UAS C4I Technologies (tactical messaging, payload product dissemination).
- UAS simulation software and hardware technologies.
- UAS integration and testing.
- Test procedure development.
Qualifications
- Must be a U.S. citizen.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance.
- On-site work (no remote/hybrid options) with ability to travel up to 10% of the time.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Security+ Certification.
Skills
- Operational UAS experience (operator or maintainer/technician).
- UAS data communications (Tactical Common Datalink, Blue Force Tracker, Link-16, emerging UAS communication technology).
- Familiarity with C4I software and interfaces to include tactical messaging interfaces as defined by DoDAF and AIC mission test threads.
- Comfortable interfacing with customers and working in dynamic environments.
- Expertise on a variety of existing and emerging UAS systems.
- Hands-on experience in technical disciplines including payloads, data links, and/or command and control.
Benefits
Pay Range $59,150.00 - $106,925.00
