About the role

Leidos’ Defense Uncrewed Systems Integration and Test is seeking a motivated and ambitious UAS Interoperability Technician to join the Software, Simulation, Systems Engineering and Integration Directorate (S3I) Joint Technology Center – Systems Integration Lab (JSIL) Technology and Certification Center.

Responsibilities

  • Perform Risk Reduction Testing (RRT) based on system capability requirements developed and established by the customer.
  • Conduct Army Interoperability Certification (AIC) testing of candidate system software and hardware.
  • Develop solutions to complex interoperability problems during all phases of testing.
  • Work closely with the JSIL leadership to provide support during the system’s development lifecycle.
  • Interface with the customer to help establish testing practices and meet their software and hardware delivery needs.

Requirements

  • BS degree in a technical discipline (Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) plus 2-4 years of experience or Masters degree with less than 2 years in a technical discipline (Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Mathematics).
  • In lieu of a degree 9+ years of UAS equivalent experience will be considered.
  • Familiarity with UAS flight and mission operations.
  • UAS C4I Technologies (tactical messaging, payload product dissemination).
  • UAS simulation software and hardware technologies.
  • UAS integration and testing.
  • Test procedure development.

Qualifications

  • Must be a U.S. citizen.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance.
  • On-site work (no remote/hybrid options) with ability to travel up to 10% of the time.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Security+ Certification.

Skills

  • Operational UAS experience (operator or maintainer/technician).
  • UAS data communications (Tactical Common Datalink, Blue Force Tracker, Link-16, emerging UAS communication technology).
  • Familiarity with C4I software and interfaces to include tactical messaging interfaces as defined by DoDAF and AIC mission test threads.
  • Comfortable interfacing with customers and working in dynamic environments.
  • Expertise on a variety of existing and emerging UAS systems.
  • Hands-on experience in technical disciplines including payloads, data links, and/or command and control.

Benefits

Pay Range $59,150.00 - $106,925.00
